Job Description:The Role
The COE team builds and maintains tools for Fidelity's 401(k) compliance services, including nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500, annual reporting, and contribution allocation services. We coordinate with clients to support them in annual 401(k) plan administration. We document, prioritize, and test stories for agile development by partners in WI Technology. Setup functional and regression testing, and communicate the results of system installs to our partners. We coordinate monthly reconciliation, set-up, launching and monitoring of more than 125,000 reporting campaigns. Sprint and Quarterly development planning, communication with business leadership, and ongoing monitoring and communication of status. Mitigate risk with incident management and install validation. We partner across various business units on modernization efforts in Communications, Process, and Technology.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 401(k) Nondiscrimination testing (NDT), Form 5500, or annual reporting expertise required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working with program and project management
- Experience with technology development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
- Risk mitigation and analytical skills
- Current ASPPA designation preferred
- Experience with compiling and analyzing data preferred (examples: Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau)
- Knowledge of NDT, Form 5500, annual audit, and 401(k) plan design
- Ability to understand and apply regulatory updates such as SECURE Act to systems and procedures
- Ability to develop business requirements for annual updates to NDT, Form 5500, and annual reporting systems
- Experience with test case design and execution a plus
- Lead projects and coordinate project contributors
- Ability to summarize and clearly articulate complex issues, summarize key points, and communicate findings
- Highly organized, detail oriented with outstanding follow-through

The Team
Testing and Reporting Services (TRS) provides annual reporting and other services to more than 25,000 plan sponsors at Fidelity Investments. TRS' services span several work streams: Plan Year End Summary (PYES), Form 5500, Employer Calculations & Additional Testing (ECATs), Nondiscrimination Testing (NDT), and Customer Service. TRS produces more than 125,000 annual reporting campaigns which are provided electronically via our highly secure client portal - Plan Sponsor Webstation (PSW). This suite of reporting is the underpinning for our plan sponsor's annual compliance related activity. Services we provide are provided to clients' auditors and to governmental agencies such as the Department of Labor (DOL) or Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Our team manages Service Level Agreements and regulatory deadlines that must be met in order to avoid penalties and to maintain client satisfaction.
The TRS Center of Excellence (COE) team is a group of experienced analysts, project managers, and compliance experts who work with teams across TRS and Fidelity Workplace Investing on modernization efforts in Process and Technology.
