Job Description:The Role
Do you want to make a difference in our customers' and internal associates' lives and contribute to a cross-functional team committed to facilitating the confirmation and settlement of equity trade transactions within the Fidelity Fund & Investments Operations (FFIO) business unit?
We are looking for an Equity Trade Operations Analyst who will provide trade support to Fidelity's domestic and international equity trading desks located in Boston, London, and Hong Kong! In addition to the various external counterparts that the trade analysts interact with, there are also several internal teams that assist in the group's daily responsibilities, including Global Corporate Actions, Fidelity Agency Lending, Global Product Solutions, Risk, Legal, Fund Accounting and the Treasurer's Office, among others.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supervising trade instruction and delivery to custodian banks
- Facilitating the accurate and timely delivery of critical business information to all interested parties
- Providing trade confirmation / affirmation and settlement support for equity asset class
- Bring failed trades to a resolution by communicating with brokers and custodian banks
- Collaborating within the team environment to optimally handle daily work volumes and quality standards
- Providing timely mentor to staff on day-to-day responsibilities
- Identifying and resolving problems related to transactions or investment data in an appropriate fashion following established guidelines
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
- 4+ years of relevant financial operations experience preferred
- Progression toward advanced degrees and/or professional certifications is a plus
- Strong understanding of the trade operations environment and market settlement practices strongly preferred
- Proven track record of being organized, professional, and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a tight timeframe
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that implement process solutions
- Exposure to or basic understanding of Fund Accounting or Pricing preferred
- Solid understanding of OMGEO Alert and CTM preferred
- Solid understanding of Excel, Word, and Power Point
- SQL or VBA knowledge a plus
The Team
Our team handles trade operations to support FMR, Fidelity Institutional Asset Management and Fidelity International accounts. You will work closely with the trading desk, broker-dealer community, and the custodian bank network to facilitate settlement in over 70 countries worldwide. We are a multifaceted Global Middle Office (GMO) Division within the FFIO business unit, acting as a servicing center for FMR Co., GEODE, Fidelity Institutional Asset Management, Fidelity International, Fidelity Investments Japan, Fidelity Investments Canada, and Strategic Advisers, Inc. globally.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
