The opportunity
You will be responsible for the overall productivity and efficiency of our Billing Specialist processes, directly managing up to 4 direct reports and reporting to the Account Support - Billing & Collections Lead. You will also be responsible for the overall management of the team including interviewing, training, personnel management, employee development, motivation and overall advancement of the teams. You will implement processes to effectively gauge all associated management metrics and the personnel directly responsible including creation of invoices and tracking of the most complex client billings, contracts and related issues.
Your key responsibilities include
- Oversee non-standard billing processes in the US
- Drive productivity; manage staffing including hiring, training and overseeing the work of the billing staff and make recommendations for changes to continually improve service and efficiency Directly responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a multi-member team including driving process improvements, providing exceptional customer service and monitoring daily/weekly, monthly, quarterly billing targets
- Manage and oversee the allocation of billing specialist workloads, approach and strategy
- Manage and oversee the various third-party portals used for uploading of invoices (on-shore or off-shore)
- Meet the billing targets as specified in the objectives by pro-active contact with our clients and by engaging the support of client servers
- Develops and maintains procedures and associated training materials - leverages as appropriate
- Oversee team and act as escalation point for client invoice related issues; ensure the team's correspondence to clients and internal client servers is consistent and clear
- Challenge existing processes and approaches; develop recommendations to improve quality of invoicing procedures; prioritizes and manages the implementation of initiatives and projects that improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, and/or customer service
- Acts as a key liaison with Global Delivery Support (GDS)/Infosys leadership and Area leadership
- Responsible for identifying off-shoring opportunities and continuously improving
- Thorough understanding of the Firm's business and organization structure and possesses an extensive knowledge of firm policies, procedures, and accounting systems
- Works effectively across a global organization including Area, Industry Group, and Service Line leadership
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills, organizational savvy, strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and utilize the firm technology including Windows Applications, Global financial applications (e.g. Mercury) to enable process improvements
- Possesses strong leadership skills and demonstrates the firm's values every day
- Demonstrates proficiency of presentation and interpersonal skills
- Thinks strategically and creatively and provides innovative suggestions; challenges existing processes and approaches which may result in operational efficiencies
- Uses advanced judgment in developing concepts for consideration of operational process improvements.
- Demonstrates healthy skepticism; provides leadership in analyzing, resolving and determining root causes of complex issues and provides recommended solutions.
- Resolves highly sensitive and highly confidential issues without supervision, consistent with established policies and procedures
- Follows through on commitments and takes ownership for personal and team results
- Anticipates barriers and leads team to achieve high quality results
- Effectively prioritizes responsibilities and manages multiple competing priorities
- Be able to understand and make decisions that involve bankruptcy matters the hand-off of processes to the GDS/Infosys that may result in operational efficiencies and cost reductions, both in India and Argentina
- Makes certain staff resources are utilized efficiently and effectively by reviewing workload/priority assignments
- Owns and/or participates in large complex cross functional special projects, as assigned
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 6-8 plus years of progressive related accounting or finance as a manager in a shared services organization
- Experience with Microsoft products including Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Platforms, CoPilot, Word, Outlook.
- Experience/interest in AI tools (EYQ, Microsoft CoPilot Agents) and commitment to AI integration in the workplace.
- Experience with Concur preferred.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $103,700 to $193,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,400 to $220,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
