In this role, you will lead the evolution of data and technology products that enable better decision-making across the firm. As a Data Product Owner, you will apply product management principles to complex data and analytics platforms, providing clarity, prioritization, and strategic direction. You'll partner closely with technology, business, and data teams to deliver high-quality data products that support Schwab's client-centric mission-while owning your growth in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for enterprise data and analytics products, from discovery through delivery and ongoing optimization.
- Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities to align data capabilities with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Translate complex business questions into clear, actionable requirements for data engineering and technology teams.
- Establish ownership, standards, and governance for data products within the data warehouse and analytical environment.
- Partner cross-functionally with technology, analytics, and business leaders to drive shared understanding and timely decision-making.
- Streamline requirements analysis, validation, and delivery processes to improve efficiency across the product development lifecycle.
- Provide thought leadership on data management, product best practices, and emerging opportunities to improve insight generation.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

To ensure we continue to challenge the status quo and deliver meaningful impact, this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience analyzing complex source databases in a data warehouse environment
- 3+ years of SQL experience supporting data acquisition and curation.
- 1-3 years of experience working as a Product Owner or Product Manager within data or technology domains.
- Proven ability to define requirements, prioritize work, and manage data development initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, banking, or brokerage environments.
- Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery or similar cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with data management concepts such as data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data migration.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity and evolving priorities.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
