Schwab's AI Strategy & Transformation team, known as AI.x , is the central hub for Artificial Intelligence at Schwab. We are an integrated product, engineering, strategy and risk team, all based in San Francisco. We help set the enterprise vision for AI, invest in the most promising opportunities, and accelerate delivery across the company. We also build the core platform that powers AI at scale and explore next-generation GenAI efforts that will redefine how we serve our clients.
As a Director, AI Partnership & Business Development, you will serve as a principal individual contributor, driving the analysis, execution, and expansion of innovative AI partnerships and business solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping Schwab's future with AI and advancing transformative initiatives that serve millions of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Business Development: Engage with the AI business ecosystem, from startups to enterprises, to identify emerging capabilities and communicate their potential to Schwab executives. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure responsible and scalable AI adoption and integration.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay current on emerging AI technologies, trends, and best practices to inform Schwab's AI roadmap. Evaluate and recommend new AI capabilities for enterprise adoption, including partnerships with startups and vendors.
- AI Strategy & Implementation: Support the development and execution of GenAI-driven solutions across business units. Translate business needs into AI opportunities by collaborating with stakeholders across products, operations, and technology.
- Executive Communication: Manage executive-level communications, including presentations, briefings, and strategic updates. Craft compelling narratives that articulate the value and impact of AI initiatives to senior leadership.
- Strategic Influence: Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor on AI partnership strategy. Drive experimentation from concept to implementation and support business standards.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required .
- 7-10+ years of proven experience within AI Business Development or Partnership teams, with a track record of engaging with the wider AI ecosystem to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration.
- Deep understanding of AI technologies and trends, enabling informed discussions and strategic decision-making.
- Extensive experience in professional analytical and problem-solving, assessing market opportunities and developing strategies to capitalize on them.
- Demonstrated senior-level communication skills and ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver effective presentations tailored to executive audiences.
- Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and championing initiatives across departments.
- Experience enabling effective engagements with executives and key stakeholders in the AI industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent post-MBA level experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations to executive audiences.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills; a team player with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and championing initiatives.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration between Schwab and other AI companies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
