The team strives to act as trusted, strategic advisors to business leaders across Schwab, by helping them work with third-parties in a way that successfully balances their needs, risk and cost. Reporting to the Director, Supplier Management in Corporate Vendor Management, this Director will lead largescale supplier portfolio integration efforts and support the continued maturity of Schwab's supplier management capabilities. This role will lead crossfunctional initiatives to assess program variance, implement interim risk management approaches, and ensure a smooth transition of new vendor populations into Schwab's established operating model. Over time, this leader will also help drive strategic relationship initiatives, optimize supplier experience, and identify opportunities to elevate the value, performance, and resiliency of Schwab's supplier portfolio.

- 7-10+ years of experience in supplier management, thirdparty risk management, sourcing, procurement, or a related operational leadership role.
- Experience leading crossfunctional initiatives involving risk assessment, supplier governance, operational integration, or program transformation.
- Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, supplier lifecycle processes, and regulatory expectations relevant to thirdparty oversight.
- Proven ability to lead teams or workstreams, influence without authority, and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problemsolving skills.
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced, evolving environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., TPRM, supply chain, risk) preferred.
What you'll do:
- Lead programlevel assessment of supplier management and risk management variances when integrating new vendor populations into Schwab's operating model.
- Develop and implement interim control frameworks, intake workflows, and operational guardrails to ensure rightsized risk management during transition periods.
- Provide strategic direction for integrating new suppliers, data, processes, and oversight structures into Schwab's Supplier Management program.
- Support and oversee the execution of crossfunctional workstreams spanning sourcing, risk assessments, contracting, operational governance, and data alignment.
- Partner with internal SMEs (Sourcing, TPRM, Legal, Risk, Technology, D&I) to design scalable solutions that align with Schwab policies and regulatory expectations.
- Engage with business partners to ensure supplier needs, risks, and cost considerations are balanced appropriately throughout integration activities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, rationalize, or strategically align supplier portfolios and improve overall supplier lifecycle processes.
- Contribute to the longterm maturity of Schwab's supplier relationship management strategies, including performance governance, issue escalation, and experience optimization.
- Support the Managing Director in setting strategic priorities, enhancing execution capabilities, and elevating supplier management's impact across Schwab.
What You're Good At
- Leading complex, crossfunctional operational or risk integration efforts in a highly regulated environment.
- Translating policy, control requirements, and regulatory expectations into practical operational processes.
- Building effective partnerships across legal, risk, technology, sourcing, and business units.
- Navigating ambiguity and creating structure where processes or programs are still maturing.
- Communicating clearly and persuasively with senior leaders, stakeholders, and crossfunctional teams.
- Balancing strategic thinking with handson operational execution.
- Driving continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Representing operational processes in a clear and defensible way, especially during program design or variance analysis.
In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
