Description
Job Description:The Viewpoints Editor will work with subject matter experts across Fidelity to produce articles featuring Fidelity POVs on the economy, financial markets, and investing for our retail clients and prospects. The material will be distributed on Fidelity websites, our mobile app, social media, and newsletters, which reach millions of clients each week.
The candidate should have experience in journalism and financial services and be knowledgeable about macroeconomic trends, fixed income and equity investing strategies, and the principles of sound portfolio construction and goal-based planning. The candidate should also be able to generate timely ideas on trending topics, produce smart, engaging copy that adheres to Fidelity editorial and compliance standards, and do so under often tight deadlines.
When news happens - the Viewpoints Editor is expected to be proactive in generating relevant, client-focused perspectives in collaboration with our experts that drive engagement and business results.
The candidate also needs to be able to work within existing content management, data analytics and measurement systems to track content production, measure performance, and optimize the effectiveness of new and existing content.
Qualifications
- BA required
- 5-10 years in financial journalism or the equivalent required
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines necessary
- CFA or Series 7 a plus
About the team
The Content Thought Leadership Team is comprised of financial editors and writers who produce Fidelity perspectives in article, infographic, video and webinar formats. The content is aimed at a broad range of audiences, from active traders to Wealth Management clients, crypto investors, and more.
Within the Content Thought Leadership Team, the Viewpoints team produces content for our mass affluent clients and prospects on topics ranging from financial markets to investing ideas and tax-smart planning strategies. We like to say we are there for readers, no matter their age, affluence, or investing style.
The Content Thought Leadership Team is part of a larger Content Team that sits within the Marketing Organization. We are an innovative group focused on continuous learning and associate growth. The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
