Members of the Wealth Management Coaching & Consulting Team play a critical role in enhancing the branch network's client engagement skills. The Wealth Management Coach & Consultants (WMCCs) primary role is developing branch employees through coaching and consulting to promote Schwab's Modern Wealth Management experience. WMCCs influence branch employees through targeted coaching and development in 5 areas of focus:
- Improving efficiency and the effectiveness
- Enhancing client interactions and engagement skills
- Highlighting how to bring to bear financial planning concepts, tools, and dialogue adeptly
- Showcasing appropriate wealth management strategies and solutions for various client scenarios
- Promoting a consistent adoption of Schwab's practice management standards
What you have
WMCCs are passionate about helping branch employees build their business by influencing and encouraging meaningful change and growth. Following a consultative process, the WMCC team determines and implements effective strategies/tactics which enhance consultant skill development, enhance client outcomes, and accelerate market growth and retention.
- Comprehensive understanding of Wealth Management and effective client engagement skills
- Must have the ability to formulate and teach efficient client engagement/sales process
- Deep knowledge of brokerage, advised, and banking product/services
- Extensive knowledge of Financial Planning
- Exceptional customer focus, including ability to think in terms of customer experience/perspective
- Strong competency and demonstrated passion for coaching and employee development
- Demonstratable success executing and understanding initiatives aligned with the Company's strategic objectives for the business to expand market share and achieve a competitive advantage
- Keen business judgment and ability to effectively make trade-offs in business decision making process and manage risk
- Data-curious to leverage key metrics to identify trends which helps create tactical action plans to drive results in a sales environment
- Ability to inspire organization change/growth
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and partnership skills
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- High degree of flexibility and comfort managing competing priorities
- Superior skills with MS Excel and PPT
Additional requirements for role:
- BA/BS required, MBA a plus
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 required
- Industry certifications (CIMA/CFP/CFA/CWS) preferred
- Must have a minimum of 10-15 years in the financial services industry, including 7+ years of sales leadership experience
- Typical travel is about 50% of the time for supervision and meetings
- Position must reside in the region they cover, with potential to be located in a branch or corporate site based on capacity.
