Your role
Do your analytic and interpersonal skills help you understand complex systems? Are you someone who is savvy about managing risk? We are looking for someone like you to:
• be responsible for managing the risks we take as a result of making markets electronically to clients in FX, Precious Metals (cash & EFPs) and non-deliverable Forwards
• price and hedge, although typically done by algorithm, sometimes human intervention is required during system outages or extreme market events
• help fine tune the complex system and work across the business with other teams such as sales, quant trading and support to improve system performance
• work with our Sales team to identify opportunities to improve UBS market footprint further, join them in client meetings / calls to gather relevant information
• work with Quant Traders and Quant Development teams on pricing, hedging and other system enhancements
• coordinate the resolution of infrequent system outages by collaborating with our Global Service Delivery and support functions
• develop a strong understanding about market microstructure and the exchange side products,
• develop and follow regulations, compliance policies, desk policies, limits, and guidelines
• work with a variety of stakeholders, including clients and technology, to develop future product requirements and detailed design specifications

• New York: the salary range for this role is $158750 to $186250

Your team
You'll be working as part of the Global Markets Derivatives & Solutions team in New York . As an eFX Trader, we price and hedge FX, Precious Metals and NDFs via electronic channels.

Your expertise
• numerate and capable of working under pressure
• relevant market understanding of the products
• comfortable in analyzing large data sets using various data visualization tools
• a self-starter, reliable and passionate about the client experience
• able to cope under pressure and comfortable working independently, as well as in a collaborative environment
• responsible and conscious of risks; curious and able to challenge status quo
• able to build strong client networks, with an entrepreneurial mind-set
• excellent communication skills
• knowledge of/interest in Electronic Trading
• Knowledge/experience of applications such as Python, Jupiterhub, mathlab, q, kx systems etc
