Do you want to use your fundamental equity market expertise and portfolio management knowledge to help us manage portfolios and identify new investment opportunities? We're looking for an equity analyst / portfolio manager to:
• assist lead portfolio managers with research activities on US equities that reflect the investment strategies for our client mandates
• identify and assess new and existing investment opportunities using both fundamental bottom-up company driven analysis and top-down market level research
• help implement and manage investment strategies, support product workflows and models, and monitor performance and risks
• effectively communicate portfolio performance and positioning to key stakeholders
• coordinate research efforts with internal teams
• support the improvement of our processes and proprietary portfolio management systems
Detailed salary information:
• New York: the salary range for this role is $135000 to $195000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team
You'll be based in New York and report directly to the Head of Private Client US Equity team. Our team is responsible for the management of US equity portfolios for wealth management clients. As an equity analyst / portfolio manager, you'll play an important role in the real-time implementation and management of the team's separately managed accounts (SMAs) and mutual funds.
Your expertise
• ideally 5+ years' relevant experience in US equity research, equity portfolio management or a related role - preferably with a focus on the technology or consumer-oriented sectors
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and ideally CFA certified or studying toward this
• previous exposure to wealth management financial advisors and clients
• solution-oriented thinker with strong skills of communication and collaboration
• organized and focused, with the ability to work accurately under pressure
• proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office and FactSet
