Your role
Are you interested in ESG analysis that directly influences credit decisions? Are you motivated by contributing your expertise within a collaborative, global team environment?

We are looking for ESG Analyst to:

• working alongside credit analysts in the US and UK to assess material ESG risks and opportunities for loan and bond issuers
• developing and maintaining issuer level ESG assessments and ratings, with clear documentation of key risk drivers and rationale
• presenting ESG analysis and ratings to the ESG Committee and responding to feedback as part of formal review processes
• conducting reputational risk assessments, including evaluation of controversies, governance concerns, and emerging ESG issues
• monitoring ESG risks through news flow, regulatory developments, and external events, proactively flagging material developments
• supporting industry level ESG research, including identification of sector specific ESG risk themes and trends

The Credit Investments Group ("CIG") a business unit within the Investments division of Asset Management, is an industry leader in managing over $57 billion in non-investment grade credit assets across bank loan, high yield bond and structured product portfolios. CIG is one of the largest leveraged credit managers in the US and Western Europe, with an accomplished full-service group of dedicated career credit professionals located in New York, London and Zurich. The investment process is predicated on bottom-up credit selection, which has generated favorable risk-adjusted returns with lower relative volatility than the benchmark for the last 25 years.

Your expertise
• experience in corporate finance, leveraged finance, or a related investment role
• strong understanding of environmental, social, and governance risk factors and their relevance to credit analysis
• solid finance and accounting skills with the ability to assess issuer fundamentals
• ability to synthesize complex information into clear, decision ready insights
• confident communication skills, including presenting analysis to senior stakeholders
• proactive and self driven mindset, comfortable working in a flat team structure
• experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across regions and functions
• interest in leveraging data, technology, or AI to enhance ESG analysis and processes

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 105000 - max USD 125000 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
