As a Senior Finance Associate within PNC's Retail Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial reporting, planning, and analysis for the Business Banking segment. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly reporting packages, flash reports, forecasts, quarterly business reviews, budget cycles, strategic plan inputs, and ad hoc financial analyses. The Sr. Finance Associate will also handle monthly journal entries, maintain financial hierarchies and CAT tables, support CIP reviews and certifications, and perform continuous financial analysis to support both routine operations and project related funding/benefit evaluation.

The position offers full exposure to the Business Banking P&L and Balance Sheet, including sales performance, lending results, headcount and salary monitoring, discretionary expenses, and non credit loss trends. The role requires close partnership with business leaders who rely heavily on Finance for insights and decision support.

A successful candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, a willingness to dive into details, and the confidence to ask probing questions and communicate findings clearly. Proficiency in Excel, Hyperion/SmartView, and PeopleSoft is required, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills strongly preferred. The role fits someone who is driven, detail oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn new systems and processes in a dynamic financial environment.

Job Description

• Designs and prepares timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders. Collaborates with business unit leaders to produce timely and precise revenue, expense, and staffing forecasts. Develops strategic insights from data to enhance budget and forecast accuracy.
• Collaborates with managers on, and may lead, annual budget cycle and continuous monthly forecasting. Contributes to and may lead development of long term strategic plans. Provides and presents business leaders and executives with key financial forecasts, metric-driven performance dashboards, and strategic business insights.
• Performs on-demand analysis and generates custom reports to address specific business needs. Collaborates independently with the business on implementation and compliance of new accounting and regulatory standards.
• Facilitates audit, regulatory, and investor requests by providing timely and accurate information. Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes. May also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business.
• Cultivates partnerships with colleagues across departments to ensure alignment and shared success.
