Your role
Are you a thoughtful risk professional who enjoys leading teams to deliver impactful audit work? Do you want to shape risk coverage, manage the audit plan for your area, and help a global organization strengthen its controls in a fast‑moving environment? Do you take pride in high standards, sound judgment, and finding better ways to work?
As an audit team lead in the Global Banking team, you'll:
• own and continuously refine the Global Banking risk assessment, using deep knowledge of your coverage area, emerging risks, and regulatory developments to maintain a dynamic, risk‑based audit plan
• lead a portfolio of audits and thematic reviews, delivering high‑quality work and clear insights that connect themes across the firm
• plan and prioritize work across the team, balancing resources and timelines, removing blockers, and coordinating with other teams
• build trusted stakeholder relationships by explaining complex topics clearly and constructively, promoting risk awareness and sustainable remediation
• develop and lead the team by fostering an inclusive, supportive environment that strengthens technical skills and core audit capabilities through feedback and collaboration
• advance the use of AI and data analytics across your portfolio, enabling deeper, data‑driven insights and close partnership with the Data Analytics & Innovation team
• contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology, tools, and ways of working
• represent Group Internal Audit in regulatory meetings related to the Global Banking audit portfolio

• New York: the salary range for this role is $170000 to $245000

Your team
You'll be part of Group Internal Audit, an independent function that safeguards and strengthens our firm. Working with multi disciplinary teams that blend business knowledge, subject matter expertise and capabilities in data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), you'll assess how the firm's governance, processes and controls operate. You'll identify opportunities to enhance risk management and help drive improvements that advance our strategic goals. You'll work in the Investment Bank team, focusing on auditing businesses such as Leveraged Capital Markets, Corporate Lending, Mergers & Acquisitions, Commercial Real Estate Finance, Debt and Equity Capital Markets.
Your expertise
•a degree in finance, business administration, accounting, auditing, or a related field
•ideally 12+ years' experience in financial services, ideally in internal or external audit, risk management, or compliance, with end-to-end audit leadership experience
•strong capital markets knowledge, including leveraged capital markets, corporate lending, mergers and acquisitions, real estate finance, and debt and equity capital markets, ideally within an investment bank
•proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across functions, cultures, and seniority levels
•strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, practical messages
•strong analytical mindset, with experience using data analytics and AI to challenge data, validate insights, and assess outputs
•a collaborative, inclusive leadership style with strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach
•fluency in English, with professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, or CISSP considered a plus
