Your role
You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the overall Digital Assets (DA) Compliance strategy for digital assets including financial crime prevention (FCP). You will lead the development and oversight of the digital assets compliance framework, ensure alignment with global regulatory expectations, and drive governance excellence across the digital assets lifecycle across all UBS Business Divisions as part of the Group DA Compliance function. This role requires both strategic oversight of digital asset compliance and direct hands on involvement in framework development.
1. Digital Assets Compliance Framework design and oversight
• Spearhead digital asset compliance strategy for digitally native assets, tokenized and traditional instruments linked to crypto assets
• Serve as a key advisor to business units on regulatory developments and risk mitigation strategies
2. FCP Digital Assets Risk Framework design and oversight
• Design and maintain the FCP risk framework for digital assets (ensuring alignment with global regulatory and industry standards
• Collaborate with Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) and Compliance & Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) teams to assess and escalate material risks
3. Risk and Regulatory Compliance Advisory
• Provide expert analysis and interpretation of evolving digital asset regulations, ensuring business practices and policies are continuously updated to remain compliantAdvisory on escalations relating to onboarding prospects with Digital Assets sector nexus on potential legal, financial crime or reputational risk.
• Design and delivery of trainings on digital assets risks related topics, including trainings related to blockchain investigations focused on AML risks
4. DA Compliance Systems Business Architecture
• Act as SME in functional design of systems for DA Compliance, including blockchain analytics and other RegTech solutions
Design the overall DA Compliance Systems strategy
5. Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as a liaison between Compliance, Legal, Risk, and business stakeholders globally

Digital Assets Compliance is a central function overseeing the UBS Group framework for digital assets business activities and clients. We are at the forefront of ensuring compliance, driving innovation, and managing risks in the rapidly evolving digital assets space.
Your expertise
• Experience with the use and/ or implementation of blockchain analytics, travel Rule and related digital assets specific RegTech compliance tools
• Understanding of digital assets crime, money laundering and sanctions evasions typologies, including typologies on onchain movement of illicit funds
• Familiarity with industry standards for risk management of digital assets activities
• Ability to use blockchain data and explorers to trace assets and understand the transactions and/ or smart contract actions
• Understanding of compliance systems design and business architecture
• Experience in compliance, risk management, or legal advisory within financial services or crypto assets service provider
