Schwab is recruiting to hire Software Development Engineers who thrive in a leading-edge work culture while developing products that help Schwab customers learn, explore, and make life-impacting moves on their paths to achieving their goals. This position requires 5+ years of QA experience. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong critical thinking skills who can contribute to a highly collaborative culture and Agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze enterprise application data sources to configure firm wide application test data for high priority firm business commitments.
- Responsible for ensuring QA delivery, Status Reporting, Test Plans, Test Cases, Scripts, Results, Test Readiness Reviews, post-implementation Reviews. Where appropriate review and approve test plans ensuring alignment with standards and Governance
- Working knowledge of Agile, Iterative development process is essential.
- Collaborate with technology, Business, and platform teams to architect testing solutions to meet business needs.
- Partner with the Test Environment team during test execution.
- Lead test case walkthrough reviews, Co-ordination of Test Execution (End-to-End) with various Application/ Domains involved, coordination with Offshore.
- Log defects and track open defects to closure, follow up with Development, Architecture and Test Managers to report those defects.
- Lead defect Triage meetings with multiple domains and Report status/issues to Leadership.
- Ability to collaborate with Cross Functional teams within Schwab.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- Education :
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience :
- Solid background in application development with 3-5 years of experience.
- Minimum 5 years as a QA Engineer, including hands-on application testing and/or test automation/framework development in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills :
- Programming & Tools : Core Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Perfecto/Sauce Labs.
- Database Testing : Proficient in relational databases (Oracle, IBM Db2) and non-relational databases (MongoDB).
- CI/CD Tools : GitHub/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, Zephyr.
- Collaboration Tools : JIRA, Confluence.
- Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Scrum, Agile and iterative development processes.
- Soft Skills :
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Application Architects, Development, QA/Testing teams, and Business stakeholders.
- Strong self-starter and team player.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nice to have Schwab Experience related to front end or business process.
- Knowledge of cloud concepts (cloud deployments, micro service infrastructure, cloud config, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, etc.)
- Experience in the finance industry
