The team
EY's Sector Insights team comprises market-facing sector experts, across 18 sectors, and shapes EY's differentiated perspectives on the future of their sector. The team also equips EY's 400,000 professionals to have insightful client conversations and drive growth. The team's compelling insights help EY win in the market by creating new client opportunities and originating work, strengthen client relationships by proactively taking them new insights, and shape EY's positioning and brand through distinctive through leadership.
The opportunity
As an Insurance Insights Lead Analyst at EY, you will lead the Insights team and program for one of EY's 18 sectors. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that EY has a differentiated and distinctive perspective on client issues within the Insurance sector. You will lead the development of high-impact points of view and activate them with clients, positioning EY as a comprehensive advisor on strategy, transactions, and transformation to the C-suite. Recognized as both an Insurance expert and strategic advisor to senior clients and EY leadership, you will frame the signature issues, insights landscape, and analysis/insight requirements for Insurance executive leadership, agreeing on insights priorities with the Global Insurance Sector Board.
Your key responsibilities
- Executive impact: Engage with and challenge senior stakeholders, providing commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the Insurance sector. Develop strong internal and external relationships, participating in client meetings, roundtables, and other events, and serving as a media spokesperson for the Insurance sector.
- Strategic leadership: Establish the Insights strategy for the Insurance sector, driving the development and co-creation of insights beyond publicly available information. Ensure an outcome-focused approach to creating and activating external thought leadership, identifying cross-cutting Point of View (POV) sharing opportunities, and collaborating with other Insights teams.
- Analytical responsibilities: Combine multiple perspectives and sources to develop compelling points of view that drive results. Identify issues and trends that translate into key market-facing initiatives and opportunities for EY, using both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methodologies.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with Insights leadership and other Analysts to support Insurance leadership and other senior stakeholders. Share best practices with colleagues across teams, contributing to the development of core products and services to drive excellence and consistency across Insights.
- Outstanding executive-level presentation skills, with a track record of challenging and shaping perspectives of senior Insurance clients and internal decision-makers.
- Demonstrated experience working at a senior level in a fast-moving, client-driven environment.
- Recognized Insurance insight leadership with 5+ years of Insurance-specific research and analysis activity.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work well both as part of a team and independently in a global, multi-cultural, and virtual environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information, review data inputs, and provide analytic insights.
- Succinct and structured oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
We are looking for individuals who are curious, strategic thinkers with a real-world, commercial perspective driven by an understanding of both clients' experiences and broader marketplace drivers. You will have at least 12 years of experience in a professional services or equivalent environment. You should have a collaborative mindset, outstanding executive presence, and storytelling ability, with the capability to engage with clients at the C-suite level. Your ability to combine multiple perspectives and sources to develop compelling points of view, along with your strong analytical skills, will be crucial in this role.

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges. - We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $171,400 to $339,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $205,700 to $ 385,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
- Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
