Title: Asst Dir-Financial Engineer
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Perform cash-flow analysis to formulate rating opinions, aiding in the assessment of financial viability and risk. Support various asset classes for cashflow modeling and data support. Create complex models that reflect transaction features specified in legal documents and lead special projects. Provide expertise and ensure the quality of the delivered models and data. Lead and coordinate projects, specifically relating to analyzing the credit risk of transactions. Responsible for managing and analyzing data related to Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) deals. Complete critical monthly processing tasks to ensure accurate and timely updates of financial models and data. Manage extensive datasets and complex financial information with a high level of precision and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the financial services. Apply knowledge of structured finance cashflow modeling and complex structured finance transactions.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a closely related technical/quantitative field plus at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as an Engineer, Analyst, or in a related position performing quantitative financial analysis and analyzing financial data. Full term of experience must include the following: working with structured finance asset types, including RMBS; performing cash flow modeling for different asset classes; applying knowledge of deal legal documents; and providing structured finance data support using SQL queries.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,778 to $162,400, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
