Title: AVP-Systems Engineer
Location: 7575 Gateway Blvd, Suite 300, Newark, CA 94560, USA
Duties: Design scalable, cost-efficient, high performance computing infrastructure for application workloads in on-premises and cloud environments. Support and maintain enterprise-wide applications and solutions for Corporate and Cloud datacenters. Interface with multiple internal and external teams to plan, design, and manage improvements, additions and upgrades to systems across various areas, including compute, storage, and backup. Design automation for deploying infrastructure, configuring application and monitoring resource utilization. Design HPC filesystem backup to meet business SLAs. Plan, deploy and configure compute, storage, DR and backup environments and related services. Identify, diagnose, and resolve compute, storage, backup problems and bottle necks. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented solutions. Conduct daily maintenance and monitoring and manage problem resolutions and escalations. Perform compute, storage and backup systems patches, software code upgrades, and routine hardware configurations. Participate in on-call rotations, DR planning, and testing events.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least three (3) years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administration, or a related IT position building scalable applications and systems across on-premises and cloud, application deployment and monitoring automation. Must have full term of experience with the following: designing scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure for general purpose workloads using enterprise solutions, VMware Hypervisor, and Nutanix Hyperconverged; designing and deploying applications using cloud native Azure and AWS Cloud services; using Kubernetes and Docker to deploy and maintain containerized workloads; using Terraform and Ansible for deploying application infrastructure across on-premises; and working with Azure and AWS cloud.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $187,574 to $220,250/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
