Skills and Competencies
- Applicants should have 10+ years of relevant experience, with a background in building technology solutions preferably supporting Compliance or other control functions
- Hands-on experience developing AI and GenAI-powered applications is a must
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Direct management of software developers
- Collaborative problem solver who excels in a fast paced environment
- Creative outside of the box thinker with an aptitude for rapid evolution
Education
- BS/MS in Computer Science is required.
Responsibilities
Moody's Compliance Department is seeking a Vice President of the IT Support Team. The Vice President will have direct management oversight of a team of Compliance technology professionals to develop and maintain various systems and automated workflows supporting the global Compliance function.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Compliance technology solutions to support Surveillance and Monitoring, Securities Trading, Conflicts Office, Program Office, Investigations, Policies, Training, and other Compliance functions.
- Lead the deployment of Moody's AI platform capabilities across compliance workflows, enabling automation, intelligent decision-making, and scalable risk management.
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions that reduce manual, low-value compliance activities, freeing up resources for strategic initiatives.
- Stay abreast of rapid developments in AI/ML and GenAI. Evaluate emerging technologies and lead their integration into Moody's compliance infrastructure.
- Establish and oversee frameworks for responsible AI use, including risk assessments, transparency protocols, and ethical guidelines aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Partner with Legal, Risk, Technology, and Data Science teams to ensure AI solutions meet compliance standards and align to the MCO AI strategic plan.
- Define and track KPIs for AI-enabled compliance processes. Report insights to senior leadership and recommend continuous improvements.
About the team
The Compliance IT Support Team is responsible for development, enhancement, and maintenance of technology solutions across the global Compliance function. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in the Compliance team, working along a best-in-class team of professionals.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $163,300.00 - $236,800.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
