Job Description:The Role
Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for over 6,000 retail and institutional mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products servicing over $3.9 trillion of discretionary assets. FFIO's Global Middle Office is seeking a highly motivated Manager to fill a crucial operational role in our Reconciliation department. This role is to manage an established team of 5+ entry level associates currently reporting to a Senior Manager.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
- A minimum of five years of related experience; Reconciliation or Fund Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of investment operations or mutual fund accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls over financial reporting preferred
- Demonstrated team leadership or direct management preferred
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities at once
- Highly self-motivated, flexible, and quality focused individual with excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective at managing internal relationships and building successful partnerships
- Experience with internal Fidelity systems (e.g., InvestOne, FCR, OLE's, and Jira) required
- Ability to take initiative and work without too much direction while exhibiting both independent thinking and good judgment
- Ability to effectively identify and assess the risks impacting the firm's control environment
- Ability to analyze data and implement solutions to streamline business processes
- Detail oriented while maintaining a broad view of business objectives.
The Team
Thousands of associates work at our breathtaking Westlake, TX office. They enjoy unique culinary experiences at the cafe, biking or walking on the trails, and using onsite amenities such as the gym, concierge and clinic.
We have several small teams in our division. Each team focuses on a different part of the investment operation. The teams have 8 associates apiece with 2-3 new associates each year. They work every day with global banks and partner teams across the world. Each team is a different entry point into the world of securities and investment operations. These teams are complementary working together to resolve complex accounting and related challenges.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
