Job Description:The Role
The Technology Risk team for Fidelity Digital Assets® within Enterprise Technology Risk & Analytics (ETRA) group is seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced professional to join the team! You will help enhance and manage the core program activities, which includes refining and executing the technology risk strategy and program, and working with Technology, Operations, Legal Risk and Compliance teams to holistically manage technology risk of crypto initiatives within Fidelity Digital Assets®.
In this position, you will focus on the oversight of key risks, threats, controls, and other critical technology risk management functions supporting the Fidelity Digital Assets® custody and trading services as well as supporting the launch of innovative new products involving crypto and blockchain technology within Fidelity Digital Assets®. Active collaboration with cryptographic security, wallet, and technology teams to obtain a deep understanding of digital asset risks and controls will be central to the role.
The Expertise & Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent major.
- Minimum of 6-8 years in technology risk or building and shipping crypto-related products.
- Strong knowledge of Technology Risk Management practices and approaches is a key prerequisite - including familiarly with best practices related to process/risk/control framework implementation, risk assessments, incident management, change management, and control validation and testing strategies as it relates to crypto products.
- Deep understanding of cryptocurrency products and services, including but not limited to:
- Crypto custody (hot/cold wallets, private key management).
- Crypto trading and market structure (spot, derivatives, DEXs, liquidity models).
- Staking and yield products.
- Blockchain protocols and smart contract risks.
- Wallet technology and on/off ramp infrastructure.
- Partner with business, product, operations, engineering, legal, and risk teams (including AML) to advise on compliance implications of new initiatives, product launches, and regulatory developments.
- Conduct technology risk assessments and compliance analyses across the crypto and digital assets business.
- Strategic thinker with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence across functions.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present to senior management.
