We are seeking a Director of UX Research to drive customer and business outcomes during a critical and exciting period of growth. As the first full-time researcher, you will establish the key pillars of our customer insights strategy: how we collect data (both qualitative and quantitative) and how that data is analyzed to form actionable insights that drive measurable changes to our platform and service models. You will support existing voice-of-customer programs and form a long-term plan for diversifying insights that will inform product and design strategy.
Your primary responsibilities:
Execute Research Programs
- Run qualitative research projects, such as focus groups, product advisory panels, usability studies, and contextual inquiries.
- Set up and monitor Monitor and/or establish quantitative programs, such as usage metrics, dashboards, NPS studies, and surveys.
- Turn complex data and stories into clear, meaningful insights that guide product and service decisions.
- Share insights through storytelling, reporting, workshops, presentations, and conversations that bring users' voices to life.
- Advise on the selection of key technology platforms and tools, including building the business case for their adoption.
- Advise and consult designers and PMs who need guidance and coaching to ensure quality in their own initiatives.
Lead and Influence Outcomes
- Champion user-centered thinking, influence senior stakeholders, and help teams adopt user-centered ways of working.
- Influence product priorities and strategy through compelling research insights.
- Align research programs with core business needs, KPIs, and strategic outcomes to ensure measurable impact.
The Expertise and Skills you Bring
- 10+ years of user research in a product development setting, with a demonstrated track record of influencing product strategy and leading complex projects.
- Proven SaaS experience, demonstrating the ability to drive iterative product improvements while simultaneously informing long-term strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in a variety of modern research tools, with demonstrated experience in current quantitative and qualitative platforms.
- Advanced Expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings clearly, persuasively, and strategically to a variety of audiences.
- A polished, compelling portfolio showcasing your ability to lead research across complex user journeys.
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
