Would you like to apply your diverse technical and people skills to help lead the way through UBS' AI transition? Do you enjoy solving a variety of challenges in the world of Big data and data science? We're looking for someone to:

• Help team build the future of Client and Content ecosystem within IB Global Markets

• Implement AI for multiple use cases in the IB for our Sales functions, from LLM chat to knowledge graphs

• Innovate and solve for a large variety of different revenue-generating and productivity issues that occurs in the Global Markets Distribution business area within IB

• Utilize the latest (and oldest) statistical, causal, ML and AI models to get results

• Utilize your extensive coding background to remain hands-on and deliver projects on our modern Azure, big-data based data infrastructure

• Understand the insights and needs of our stakeholders and clients within the IB business so as to be able to collaborate effectively with our product experts to drive meaningful impact.

• Represent the IB Client Platform Quants team in the region to our clients and stakeholders; work in tandem with our global team

• New York: the salary range for this role is $225000 to $242500

Your team
You'll be working in the Client Platforms Quants team in New York, focusing on analytics and AI focused deliveries for Distribution. With our mandate in Global Markets, we provide high quality data and the understanding and insights that can be gained from them. This benefits our internal stakeholders (Sales, Trading and Management) and external Clients through improved service provision. We are a hands-on team responsible for infrastructure, modelling, and development of a suite of apps.

Although we are part of a well-established bank, our team maintains a casual and collaborative atmosphere. We adhere to regular working hours while consistently achieving exceptional results through innovative and scientific approaches The team is fun with mixed experience.

Your expertise
• Degree in a computer science, data science or equivalent in a technical field with demonstrable financial computing relevance

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in a related role

• Track record of leading projects and/or teams with a good command on architecture, cost, and scalability

• Expert coding experience - history of hands-on development on python and/or java, big data engineering experience is a plus

• Analytics experience is a plus - agentic ML, recommendation models, client analytics, statistics, classical ML, and interest in latest AI research

• Experience in a Markets business, for example Equities or Credit trading or distribution is a plus

• Cloud experience - we are on Azure managing an estate that is built on: kubernetes, azure-data-lake, airflow, spark, kafka, protobuf

• Ability to identify and address key issues effectively and communicate the rationale behind proposed solutions to stakeholders.

• Balance of analytical rigor and practical application
