Job Description:Health Care Program Manager
The Role
As a Health Care Program Manager, you blend deep experience in Health and Welfare, along with project management in an Agile eco system and bring a passion for mentoring and coaching, and continuous improvement. As part of a highly collaborative project team you will support the delivery of client facing projects, while advising, mentoring, coaching and training on practices and processes to accelerate value delivery. In partnership with the Portfolio Manager you will maintain a backlog, help to remove impediments, manage projects to success on time and on budget, while also facilitating agile ceremonies such as the daily stand up, sprint planning and retrospectives. You will have responsibility for release management coordination as well as managing interdependencies across teams and product areas. You will examine and drive team performance through metrics and find opportunities for the team to fully realize their potential. On a need basis, you would interact with the client servicing teams and external vendors.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers to drive successful completion of projects blending traditional Program / Project management techniques with agile team delivery
- Work to align people and work to sprints, in alignment with defined project timelines, removing impediments, providing delivery updates and escalating risks and issues as necessary
- Accelerating overall squad performance, efficiency and value delivered by engaging within and across squads to find opportunities to improve agile maturity, processes, metrics, and providing coaching, training and resources to team members as necessary
- Maintaining and updating squad performance metrics (e.g., burn-down charts) and artifacts to ensure accurate and clear feedback to the squad members and transparency to other partners
- Managing, coordinating logistics for and participating in team events (e.g., sprint planning, daily huddles, retrospectives and as appropriate other meetings)
- Supporting adoption, and consistent use of enabling tools (e.g., Jira (sheets), Miro, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint)
- Work with external vendor(s) on behalf of the client to discuss requirements, testing, timing, etc.
- Coordinate across functional groups to ensure staffing, approach, content and schedules are consistent for timely project completion.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Health & Welfare / Health Care experience required
- PMP or PMI Certified Agile Practitioner preferred, with high emphasis on using Project management techniques in an agile environment
- Jira experience required
- Experience working as a global team member
- 5-7 years of experience with 2+ years' experience in a Project/Project Manager role required
- You possess excellent communication and people-interaction skills and can rapidly build trust and positively influence others at all levels of the organization
- You demonstrate a continuous improvement approach
- You are a proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices to teams and individuals from across different functions, experiences and geographies as they work through new and unfamiliar situations
- You are an effective facilitator and can brainstorm with the team to generate solutions that address challenges and roadblocks to accelerating value delivery
- You are intellectually curious and passionate about learning new skills, and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching
- You plan for project deliverables, both short and long term. Break down long term timelines into shorter milestones.
- You are adept at stakeholder management, risk management and collaboration with global teams
- You have experience applying Scrum outside of software development in operations or equivalent functions.

You will support one or more cross-functional teams (squads), engaging with all team members and the Program Manager to reinforce and embed an agile approach and principles into the day-to-day work. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture. By extension of you and the squad, you will serve Fortune 100 companies and their participants by performing the functions required to administer health and welfare benefits through annual enrollment and throughout the year.
