As a Software Engineer Sr., PNC's Technology organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Miamisburg OH, Dallas TX or Jacksonville FL.
This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint.

PNC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on development expertise and a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment. This role requires proficiency in .NET, Angular, C#, and SQL Server, with a focus on Agile delivery, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD).
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert who can contribute to the design and development of scalable applications, uphold engineering best practices, and foster continuous improvement. Strong commitment to coding standards, process compliance, and quality assurance is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using modern technologies.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while ensuring quality through TDD/BDD practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to engineering standards.
Drive continuous improvement in code quality, performance, and development processes.
Ensure compliance with Agile methodologies and contribute to sprint planning and execution.

Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with .NET, Angular, C#, and SQL Server.
Strong understanding of TDD, BDD, and scalable application architecture.
Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, OpenShift, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Oracle, and Entity Framework.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Technical Skills
Experience with .NET, Angular, C#, SQL Server
Familiarity with TDD/BDD practices
Knowledge of scalable application architecture
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
Agile & Collaboration
Worked in an Agile development environment
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
Problem-Solving
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Demonstrated commitment to code quality and best practices
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with OpenShift, Bitbucket, Oracle, Entity Framework
Experience with DevOps principles

- Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
- Writes code, tests and deploys software.
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
- Maintains and debugs software.

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: $55,000.00 - $152,375.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.

Generally, this opening is expected to be posted for two business days from 12/23/2025, although it may be longer with business discretion.
