As a Talent Consultant, Assistant Director, you will be central to that mission-partnering closely with our professionals to provide impactful, people‑focused HR services. You will help shape the development of future leaders and influence the evolution of programs that enhance our people's growth and experience.

Talent continues to receive strong investment and plays a critical role in supporting our people's strategy and this role reflects that momentum. You will build strong relationships with leaders, guide their decision‑making, and contribute to a culture that celebrates success and continuous improvement. Leaders will look to you for thoughtful counsel on employee relations while you help drive the Talent agenda forward. Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will coordinate and facilitate HR activities for a defined population within the Financial Services Organization's (FSO) Tax practice. Working in close partnership with other Talent team members, you will execute innovative HR programs aligned to our Talent strategy. Responsibilities include implementing key processes-such as performance management, compensation, and career development-while addressing a wide range of employee inquiries and advising business leaders on people‑related matters. You will also gather and analyze data related to headcount, budgets, and compensation to identify trends and recommend actionable insights.
Skills and attributes for succes
- Proven ability to manage a diverse and fast‑moving portfolio of projects
- Strong working knowledge of HR laws, policies, and standard practices
- Track record of successfully implementing AI-driven HR and workforce transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business impact and sustainable change.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence leaders and support adoption of new programs and change initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Seven or more years of relevant HR or Talent‑related experience
- Master's degree
- SHRM certification (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a professional services environment or complex matrix organization

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
- Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
