Your role
We're looking for an International Securities Lending Trader to:

• working on the Securities Lending trading team covering the US hard-to-borrow market.
• managing borrow liquidity to facilitate firm and client demand across asset classes.
• managing relationships with lenders and brokers to offer consistent liquidity, pricing and manage risk.
• liaise with sales traders and clients across regions to ensure trading coordination and information flow.
• evaluate financial risk, understand pnl and book positioning.
• work with product and technology teams to build new trading tools to enhance overall offering.
• monitor securities for news/events/ price action that may affect the SBL market dynamics.
• provide daily SBL market color on an ad hoc basis on specific securities as well as the overall market.
• identify potential trading strategies, offer ideas to improve existing trading methods and platform enhancements.
• assist in managing synthetic borrow/ loan book via option reverse conversion structures

• New York: the salary range for this role is $225000 to $242500

Your team
You'll be working in the Securities Lending team in New York. We manage senior level external relationships at the world's largest Custody Banks and brokers driving UBS' presence in the securities lending market.

Your expertise
• 3 to 5 years SBL trading experience
• Macro analysis and modelling skills, with an ability to communicate trading ideas clearly
• experience in executing cash equity and option orders and managing delta risk in a portfolio of securities.
• experience in corporate action SBL trading (mergers, spinoffs, exchange offers)
• review transactions to ensure accuracy of information and that trades conform to regulations of governing agencies. Inform and advise management regarding fluctuations and irregularities.
