Your role
Do you have a curious mind and a passion for financial markets? Are you eager to dive deep into the Oil & Gas sector and help deliver impactful investment insights to clients?
We're looking for someone who can:
• collaborate closely with senior analysts to support equity research coverage
• build, maintain, and enhance detailed financial models for publicly traded companies
• draft company-specific and sector-wide research reports for internal and external distribution
• analyze industry data to identify key trends and investment implications
• develop investment recommendations based on earnings forecasts, valuation analysis, and risk assessments
• conduct comprehensive valuation work across the Oil & Gas sector, including impacts from the data center and AI buildout
• create compelling exhibits and presentations for client and sales engagements
• maintain analyst marketing materials and presentation decks
• engage with institutional and internal clients to communicate investment ideas and recommendations

• New York: the salary range for this role is $145000 to $172500
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team
You'll be joining our Global Research team in New York, NY, working alongside a Senior Analyst focused on the Oil & Gas sector. Our team delivers high-quality, differentiated research that helps clients make informed investment decisions. We value intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
Your expertise
• bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; an MBA is preferred but not required
• Oil & Gas experience preferred, but not required. Can be industry experience
• strong client-service mindset and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
• solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements (training provided as needed)
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• familiarity with programming languages is an advantage
• good communication skills, with the ability to convey insights through models, reports, and presentations
