As a Workday Compensation Product Owner, you will play a key role in transforming how we deliver value to our employees and business partners. You will be responsible for executing the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Workday capabilities and optimization efforts related to Advanced Compensation. You'll partner closely with HR leadership, Schwab Technology Services (STS), and business stakeholders to ensure our Workday solution supports talent strategies, enhances the employee experience, and scales with the organization's growth. While this role leverages your technical Workday expertise, it offers the opportunity to focus on strategic impact rather than hands-on development or configuration within Workday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a high-performing team of HR product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Execute the product strategy & roadmap for Workday's Advanced Compensation Module, including Pay Planning, Merit, Bonus, and Equity.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable deliverables, including technical specifications, epics, and user stories for agile development teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with Total Rewards and Schwab Technology Services (STS) to design and maintain seamless integrations with downstream systems, ensuring data integrity.
- Stay abreast of Workday releases and feature previews, proactively assessing impact and championing the adoption of relevant enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system performance, gathering user feedback, and optimizing process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) and escalation point for all Workday Compensation-related issues.
*Please Note: This is an in-office role , requiring on-site presence in one of the locations where the role is posted, a minimum of 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday), and offers the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. This policy is subject to change at any time, at the Company's sole discretion.
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of Workday expertise with deep compensation domain knowledge.
- Proven success as an HR Product Owner or an HRIS Analyst.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, HR Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Pro Certification in Compensation highly preferred.
- Proven success aligning product strategy with HR technology and business needs.
- Deep understanding of Compensation processes and experience delivering Workday-based solutions.
- Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and agile delivery practices.
- Familiarity with Workday configuration and integration concepts (hands-on experience a plus).
- Ability to navigate complex organizational changes and influence stakeholders at all levels.
