Your role
You're interested in equity markets as well as derivatives products?
We're looking for a convertibles trader with financial markets experience who can:
• Monitor markets for trading / hedging opportunities
• Manage a broad range of risks including but not limited to trading, execution, operational and compliance risk.
• Help with the back to front of the daily business, run P&L reports, and optimize processes.
• Partner with banking and sales teams to combine existing capabilities to build client solutions
• Have the technical background to be able to interact with the quant teams in developing new pricing models
• Have the programming skills to be able to be independently implement risk management and decision making tools

• New York: the salary range for this role is $145000 to $172500
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team
You will be working in the Global Markets US Convertibles trading team in New York. Our role is to provide pricing, advice, solutions, and execution to investment manages and hedge fund clients in the growing convertible asset class. We help our clients identify and execute trading strategies that match their specific goals / hedging strategies. As a trader, your primary function will be to market, price, and risk-manage the US Convertibles book on behalf of UBS.

Your expertise
• Experience in and understanding of financial markets, in particular: convertible bonds, equities, credit, and derivatives.
• Adept at computer systems and comfortable with adopting new technology
• An excellent communicator and a collaborative partner with clear demonstration of working across groups
• A self-starter capable of independent problem solving
• Ability to thrive in a high intensity and highly demanding trading desk role
• Credible client presence—able to convey views clearly, negotiate risk, and shape flows in fast markets.
• Commitment to the highest standards of integrity and conduct.

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 145000 - max USD 172500 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
