Description
The Lead Information Security Architect reviews information security architecture, while ensuring consistent and effective information security administration procedures and processes. Working under limited supervision, this job oversees security configuration and the installation of various servers, along with helping to design security models and craft the overall information technology (IT) vision within the organization.Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Reviews the design and development of security models, along with establishing the procedures and guidelines for hardware, software and network security that support information security policies.
- Leads the identification of portions of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure with the highest potential return for cloud deployment.
- Facilitates implementation of the organization's global strategies and initiatives to enhance Information Technology plans, operations and procedures.
- Overseeing security awareness programs; educating and communicating to staff about information security polices, procedures, and practices.
- Crafts the organizational technology vision and information security principles and standards to ensure that the information security needs of the business are met.
- Reviews and implements the design for security solutions and champions them through the architectural portions of the software development life cycle process.
- Advises the selection decisions of security tools for use by various security teams and in the architecture review as the voice of security in the governance of the software development process as it relates to architectural elements.
- Serves as an internal information security consultant on the standards, complex issues and best practices to the organization.
- Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects while managing select projects and processes.
- Leads the cost/benefit evaluation of cloud solutions compared to virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and in-house solutions.
- Reviews technical feasibility of adopting external cloud based IT platform and infrastructure services within the organization.
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred

Required Skills:
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Information Technology Operations role
At least 2+ years' experience in Cyber Security Operations or Architecture
Preferred Skills:
- At least 2+ years' experience managing multiple projects.
- At least 2+ years' experience with cloud architectures (e.g., SaaS, PaaS), common commercial cloud systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud security solutions (e.g., Cloud Access Security Broker, Multi-factor Authentication, Zero Trust Architecture)
Possess professional certification (i.e., CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional, CISSP, CISM) or comparable certifications.
Familiarity with program coding.
Worked in an agile environment.
Experience utilizing development pipelines and automation (Devops/DevSecops)
Comfortable with delivering documents in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Base Pay Range: $136,000/yr - $165,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
