Title: Associate Lead Analyst 1
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Responsible for analyzing Structured Finance transactions and responsible for the analysis of the credit aspects of Structured Finance securitizations. Analyze assets, transaction structure, legal documents, deal-level financial modeling using Moody's in-house models, Excel or other models and statistical packages to formulate and substantiate independent credit opinions with some guidance from senior analysts. Responsible for staying current with industry conditions and trends related to coverage, presenting transactions to rating committees, communicating analysis during internal meetings, and writing accurate and relevant credit research, participating in external outreach with guidance, and contributing to fostering Moody's Values. Complete simple efficiency improvement projects, contribute to more complex efficiency improvement projects and research projects, develop basic knowledge of the Structured Finance sector and pursue thought leadership initiatives to enhance our analytics, outreach and research impact.
Requirements: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Must have academic training or experience in each of the following: analyzing assets, and transaction structures related to structured finance transactions; conducting quantitative financial
modeling and using statistical tools to develop and support independent interest rate risk assessments under guidance and presenting the analysis; and applying interest rate effects of macroeconomic events to coverage analysis.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $118,248 - $196,750/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
