The Manager, Treasury Regulatory Reporting & Automation is part of Schwab's Treasury organization and plays a critical role in supporting Capital Stress Testing (CST) and regulatory reporting requirements. The team is responsible for the preparation and submission of Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) regulatory filings, including FR Y-14A reporting, while advancing the firm's data and automation capabilities.
In this role, you will help design, enhance, and oversee end-to-end regulatory reporting processes, data governance frameworks, and automation solutions that support accurate, timely, and scalable regulatory submissions. You will partner closely with Treasury, Technology, Data Management, and Risk teams to drive data quality, strengthen controls, and deliver meaningful analytics that support key business and regulatory objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, validation, and submission of CCAR and FR Y-14A regulatory filings, including supporting documentation and reporting deliverables.
- Define data requirements, mappings, and financial metric calculations to support capital stress testing and regulatory reporting activities.
- Establish and maintain data standards, metadata, lineage, and governance processes in alignment with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enhance automated data pipelines, quality controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Perform data analysis and investigation to identify data quality issues, assess impacts, and drive timely resolution of reporting discrepancies.
- Validate reporting calculations and ensure the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of regulatory reporting data.
- Partner with Technology teams to deliver data sourcing, integration, transformation, and automation initiatives across large and complex datasets.
- Support the development of analytical reporting and insights, including trend analysis, scenario comparisons, and key drivers of regulatory reporting outcomes.
- Create and maintain process documentation, controls, operating procedures, and governance artifacts.
- Apply strong project management and stakeholder management skills to deliver high-quality results within regulatory reporting deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and continuously improve operational effectiveness.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What you have
To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data management, regulatory reporting, financial analytics, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering concepts, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise data ecosystems.
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale databases, data transformation, automation, and analytics tools, including SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of data governance practices, including data lineage, controls, documentation, and quality management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting concepts, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Experience supporting CCAR regulatory reporting, including FR Y-14A, FR Y-14M, and/or FR Y-14Q reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience within banking, financial services, treasury, capital planning, or regulatory reporting environments.
