Description
Your OpportunitySchwab remains committed to providing increased visibility to career growth opportunities and job requirements. This posting announcement is part of increased transparency and while all qualified applicants will be reviewed and considered, this organization has a preferred candidate identified for this role.
At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem-solving as we challenge the status quo and shape the future of financial services-together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).
As a Senior Manager, AI Fluency, you will play a highly visible, enterprise-wide role focused on building durable, responsible AI capability across Schwab's workforce. Sitting at the intersection of workforce transformation, enterprise adoption, and sustained behavior change, this role helps define what it truly means to be fluent in AI at Schwab-and how that fluency translates into measurable business impact.
This is not a traditional learning or enablement role. You will operate as a strategic builder and operator, partnering across technology, product, risk, legal, and business teams to ensure AI skills are practical, responsible, and embedded into how work gets done. You will help leaders and employees confidently adopt AI while maintaining Schwab's high standards for integrity, trust, and stewardship.
What You'll Do
- Define enterprise AI fluency standards by evolving Schwab's AI Fluency framework across foundational literacy, responsible use, role-based application, workflow integration, and emerging agentic capabilities
- Design and deliver scalable programs that build practical AI capability across employees, people leaders, champions, and executives
- Enable leaders and executives with confidence, clarity, and judgment by creating targeted experiences that support informed decision-making and responsible adoption
- Build fluency at scale through sustainable operating models, shared assets, communities of practice, and continuous learning approaches
- Embed responsible AI principles into all fluency efforts by partnering closely with legal, risk, compliance, and responsible AI teams
- Measure impact and effectiveness by defining leading indicators of AI fluency and continuously improving programs based on outcomes, usage, and feedback
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, adoption, and business leaders to ensure AI fluency evolves alongside platform capabilities and enterprise needs
What you have
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in workforce transformation, enterprise enablement, learning, change management, or related fields within large, complex organizations
- Ability to translate modern AI concepts into practical, role-based applications that scale across diverse teams and functions
- Demonstrated skill in designing and operating enterprise-scale programs with measurable business impact
- Strong judgment and risk awareness, with the ability to integrate responsible AI principles into day-to-day practices
- Executive presence with the ability to advise, influence, and build trust with senior leaders without direct authority
- Ability to synthesize complexity into clear, decision-ready narratives through strong written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building enterprise standards or frameworks in emerging or rapidly evolving domains
- Proven success operating in regulated environments with high expectations for trust, stewardship, and accountability
- Comfort working across technology, product, data, and business teams to align strategy and execution
- Experience defining metrics that assess capability adoption and sustained behavior change
- Ability to balance rigor with pragmatism while scaling programs across large, distributed organizations
