Job Duties : Lead a team of software engineers to deliver significant business results as well as maintain and incrementally improve software applications used by Schwab's Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) community. Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align platform development with broader organizational goals. Advocate for technological advancements that drive business value. Lead day-to-day activities and influence team members to leverage and support agile software development practices. Develop and document resourcing roadmaps, budgets and schedules. Ensure team is properly engaged, aware of career breakthroughs/path, aware of their role on the team and how it relates to others; how their contributions meet the overall vision. Systematically analyze platform operations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement solutions that enhance service delivery and user satisfaction. Lead all recruiting activities across the team (create different avenues when necessary). Identify and document the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of each team member. Assist the 'Run' and 'Support' teams in building durable systems/applications and ensuring a low MTTR (mean time to resolution). Identify gaps/risks early and establish mitigation plans (both technically and with regards to resources). Increase the overall visibility of the team; celebrate/track accomplishments and build relationships with key leaders in other groups. Continually strive for improvements in process, talent acquisition/retention, application time-to-market and quality. Exceptional data analysis skills, including data mapping of systems, vendor integration, and database queries Superior intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills to explore what problems need to be solved, identify and analyze key insights, and find creative solutions. Number of direct reports may vary. Position supervises other employees.
What you have
Job Requirements : Requires Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 72 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.. Experience must include some experience in each of the following skills: Full stack application development technologies including C#, .NET, .NET core, React and Angular, Micro Services, Micro Front End frameworks (MFEs); Relational (Oracle) and Document-Based (No SQL or MongoDB) database, Caching - Redis, Aerospike; Cloud Technologies (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, GCP); Container technology such as Docker, version control systems (GitHub, bitbucket), build management; CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, Thousand Eyes, Splunk); Vulnerability, Security scan tools, MRAs (Veracode, SonarQube); QA Tools, including IPA, MABL, Promotheus, Cypress, Specflow; and, CRM - Salesforce Service Cloud and contact center, SAP MDG, CRM, Service Cloud.
We offer competitive pay and benefits. Starting compensation depends on related experience. Annual bonus and other eligible earnings are not included in the ranges above.
