We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Technical Program Manager of Front-End Experiences to take our customer experience to the next level. We're solving problems across a broad range of domains: marketing, trade, banking, retirement funding management, and employee stock reward and building ultra-fast and performant Front-End Digital Experiences that leverage a Headless Content Management System.
The role focuses on proactively engaging with our technical and business functions by providing personalized and customizable digital experiences to our prospects and clients to help them meet their financial goals. The program manager role will collaborate with other product and technology teams, as well as lead a cross-functional program team to holistically enhance a robust and efficient client experience across Digital Platforms. An ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a impactful and growing digital team, working in a fast paced environment, be process and data oriented, have strong communication skills, and have extensive experience with a secure, client-facing online technologies. This role requires a creative mind set, strong solutions-oriented view and ability to forge relationships with many internal and external partners.
What you'll do:
Program leadership for web experience delivery
- Drive end-to-end execution of initiatives that span the CMS, design system, and Next.js application layers.
- Translate business and content requirements into structured technical initiatives with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate across engineering, design, content strategy, SEO, and marketing to ensure cohesive delivery.
- Manage dependencies across CMS schema changes, API integrations, front-end components, and deployment workflows.
- Identify risks related to content migrations, breaking API changes, caching strategies, and release timing.
Technical partnership in a Next.js + headless CMS environment
- Participate in architectural discussions involving rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR), routing, caching, and performance optimization.
- Understand CMS content modeling, API querying models (REST/GROQ/GraphQL), and integration patterns well enough to challenge assumptions and unblock teams.
- Collaborate with engineering leads to ensure front-end and CMS changes align with long-term platform direction.
- Use analytics, Core Web Vitals, A/B testing data, and telemetry to guide prioritization and measure success.
- Support teams in adopting best practices for accessibility, SEO, and performance.
Communication and stakeholder alignment
- Produce clear written communication: program briefs, status updates, migration plans, and decision records.
- Ability to translate business and product requirements into structured delivery plans, epics, and tickets in Jira.
- Simplify complex technical issues-such as rendering tradeoffs or CMS schema impacts-for non-technical stakeholders.
- Align engineering, design, and content teams around timelines, expectations, and quality standards.
- Facilitate decision-making around content workflows, release processes, and cross-team dependencies.
Operational excellence for web platforms
- Coordinate postmortems for production issues, including rendering failures, broken content, or CMS outages, and drive long-term fixes.
- Improve processes around content publishing, preview environments, QA workflows, and deployment pipelines.
- Champion performance, reliability, and accessibility as core pillars of the web experience.
- Promote consistent use of design systems, component libraries, and CMS governance.
What you have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8-10 years of technical program management experience
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling.
- Must be self-starter, extremely detailed and analytical, and have a curious mind that enjoys digging into how things work and continuously strives to enhance the product, workflow and the process.
- Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving and collaborative work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
- Keen eye for recognizing consistent and efficient client experiences and promoting a continuous improvement culture. Experience on an agile digital product team is highly preferred.
- Experience in building partnerships, mobilizing and motivating teams, influencing others at all levels of an organization, and driving change to effectively deliver on projects in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
Required qualifications
- Experience leading technical programs for web applications, digital experiences, or content-driven platforms.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end architectures, especially frameworks like Next.js or React.
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Payload, Strapi, etc.) and content modeling concepts.
- Ability to engage in discussions about rendering strategies, caching, API integration, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated success driving alignment across engineering, design, and content teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in simplifying technical complexity.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and create structure around evolving requirements.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in software engineering, front-end development, or web platform architecture.
- Experience with GROQ/GraphQL, REST APIs, CDN caching, and edge rendering.
- Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards.
- Experience supporting SEO-critical or high-traffic web experiences.
- Track record of improving content workflows, publishing processes, or CMS governance.
