Description
The OpportunityAs a State and Local Tax - Income Franchise - Senior Associate, you will provide advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. Within our Tax practice, you will focus on analyzing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements, and enhancing their local tax strategies.
As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality work while embracing ambiguity. In this role, you will use critical thinking to break down complex concepts, interpret data to inform insights, and uphold professional and technical standards. This position offers the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is evolving, using reflection to enhance strengths and address development areas.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations to provide strategic guidance to clients
- Assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimizing their tax positions
- Utilizing analytical thinking to break down complex tax concepts and develop actionable insights
- Building meaningful client connections and fostering relationships to understand and anticipate client needs
- Navigating complex situations and using critical thinking to solve tax-related challenges
- Developing a deeper understanding of the business context and adapting strategies to align with changing tax landscapes
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC tax guidance and independence requirements
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members to enhance their skills and understanding of local tax matters
- Collaborating with teams to generate innovative solutions and improve tax compliance processes
- Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for client engagements
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment (Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity).

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $214,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
